A Game Changing Transcription App
Letterly sounded so cool that I bought three codes on the fly without trying the app. I gave one code each to my two sons as Christmas presents and kept two codes for myself. My sons and I immediately fell in love when we tried it. It's one of my top three AppSumo purchases ever!
I'm lovin' Letterly because it helps me stop my chronic overthinking, which leads to inaction. To combat inertia, I open Letterly on my iPhone, hit record, and talk to it. With its amazing rewrite options, one spoken rambling can be magically cleaned up or transformed into a journal entry, an FB post, a to-do list, etc.—outputs I wouldn't have produced if my thoughts had remained in my head.
I appreciate other users' feature requests and can only imagine how much greater Letterly will become with further development. That said, for what Letterly serves in my productivity toolbox, I'd give it five stars.

After several months of using Letterly, I've come to appreciate its elegant balance of simplicity and power. While initially, the notes felt somewhat confined within the app, recent updates have dramatically expanded its capabilities.

Regarding your request about “enabling automatic archiving of original audio files for future use” — if I understood you right, you’d like to automatically send not only the text, but also the audio to a convenient destination. Totally makes sense. Just so you know, right now you can do this manually using "Save audio to" and upload it wherever you need. But yes, we’re definitely considering ways to automate this too — sounds like you're into power-automation workflows :)

Unusable without notes export
You can't fetch your notes on a web interface. What's the point to take audio notes on the move if you can't dowload a CSV with all your text notes.
The app is nice but is quite unusable in its current state.
If the app get this feature, thet it would be really a 5 star.

Of course, it stings a bit to get a 1, since we’re really trying to pack the app with useful stuff. But if it’s a fair 1, then yeah — it’s a clear sign we need to do better.
About export: yes, we agree, it’s an important feature and we will add it. You’re absolutely right — it’s something we need to ship soon, especially since more users have been asking for it lately. You’re definitely not alone, so it’s moving up on our priority list :)
Just to give you a bit of context — we’re building for four platforms: Web, iOS, Mac, and Android. Each one needs its own development (only Mac and iOS share some code). There’s a long list of requests from users, and we’re constantly balancing them. Right now, for example, we’re working on longer recordings — a lot of people said 15 minutes just isn’t enough.

Would have given 5 but....
I bought your first LTD, and would really like to buy again, to upgrade to 2 devices.
BUT, what's holding me back is, that it's not possible at ALL to save or export existing notes to anywhere. its not even a function.
I like your app, and the features, but im really down, regarding the lack of this "must have" function.
Otherwise you are just locking us to your app, and with our even having the possibility to make backups. Which is really important for me, to make backups, and even being able to use those notes for anything, besides inside the app.
Im sad about not having gotten more updates in this app, besides bug fixes, and small enhancements. An exports feature would be so obvious and simple to implement.
Are you considering this? or ? should we leave it at 3 stars?

Of course, it’s a bit sad to get a 3, but you’ll see — we’ll release this feature and you’ll be happy with it :)
I also wanted to share a bit about our development process. We support four platforms: Web, iOS, Mac, and Android. Each one requires separate development (only Mac and iOS overlap a bit). There are tons of feature requests from users. For example, right now we’re working on supporting longer recordings — the most common complaint is that 15 minutes isn’t enough.
So all these requests pile up and it’s hard to do everything at once.
I totally get that what you're asking for isn’t a complex feature, but we still need to find space for it in our roadmap.
So hang tight — we will build it, I just can’t promise a specific timeline right now because project management is a bit tricky. Believe me, I’m dreaming of having it live as much as you are :)

Great but 15 is way too short
The AI is generally good as is the UX, but 15 minutes recording that's a nonsense. Most meeting last more than 15 minutes
