I used free account of LiveWebinar two years ago when the name of this system was HTML5meetings.com for MasterMaind Sessions. I am also paid user of WebinarJam (it is great system for webinars, but for meetings — I have possibility to set only 3 attendees :(and have to pay a lot more money yearly than for this deal). When I discovered H5Ms its blow my mind — I couldn't believe that so good system for video meetings could have free tier with so many functions and possibility to make meetings and even small webinars for 10 users/ 2GB for recordings and many marketing functions. HTML5meetings was working at 'everything' (probably even on the modern fridges with screen and internet connection ;-)) without installation anything.
I wrote message to them many months ago, that their system is excellent and maybe they could go into market using Appsumo... And now dreams come true ;-)

Few months ago they changed name for LiveWebinar and changed the free tier to 'just' 5 attendees. Sad info for me - I had to find new MasterMind platform.

When I found information that they are on Appsumo, I immediately went to check offer with disposition to buy it... First impression — the price is big blocker... but when I realized how costly commercial webinar systems are I decided invest in it. It isn't perfect (even WebinarJam isn't), but very matured service, with a strong team and company behind it.

If somebody from LiveWebinar read it, I have one suggestion — be more responsive and active on Appsumo community. Even if yours answers will not be good for Sumo-lings will be better than silence.

Before I buy I tried the free version of livewebinar and the the result is :

I stacked 6 codes !!

The only thing I can say is that it's an awesome deal !

Streaming and recording are really good (I didnt test it with 500 participants) and livewebinar have a LOT of functionalities.

Though, the tool need some improvement for the French translations but it does the work.

I dont plan to use it right now but I didn't want to miss it because :

1. I tried the free version and you have to too if you are not sure what to do about this deal.
2. It's a LIFETIME DEAL WEBINAR with 500 participants (last time it was Webinarninja in 2016 with only 100 participants).

An other good point is the support of Livewebinar, the people are friendly and they answer quickly !

Conclusion : Dont miss this deal !

NOTE :
I read ALL the comments before buying the tool and what I see is that a lot of people are a little "agressive" because the deal is "too expensive" and they want to have it all for 49$ because it's Appsumo Community.

For exemple, I saw comments where people said that because the price is too high Appsumo and Livewebinar are losing money because people dont buy...

Livewebinar will lose money if there prices are too low and people buy.

I know that business who are on Appsumo have feedback on what they can improve and that's a lot of value for them and that's one of the reason that we have such good deals.

We all want the better for the cheapest price but we are all in business so what will you answer to someone who always ask to work more for a lower price ?

I hope that you will run away...

So even if it's not a 49$ deal and even if we have to stack to have more functionalities we have to welcome that kind of deals and I hope to see more of it in Appsumo !

I use Zoom meeting and pay extra monthly fee for webinars. I can't wait to drop them like a hot taco. I just stacked 6 Codes. I am on fence about stacking a 7th. This deal was a little confusing. My head is spinning. lol

I've found some Issues and so asking for a refund.

Issues:
1. The smartphone webinar view with the speaker image detached from the slides is not good UX, it's what makes me want a refund - I can imagine the drop rate rising and prefer to use other platform just because of this.

2. I've documented that your translation is not working correctly, when a attendee joins he gets it in English, although it's configured for another language. The same happens inside the webinar with the buttons to change views and also on the landing page. I can send proof.

3. Another glitch is that you can scroll the presenter's video to under the slides if on a smartphone (it happens easily). Have documented that as well.

On a positive note, I'll say that the 12 fps are usable - guys just test this like Olman suggested - I did and recorded and it was ok to watch.

I'm giving this 3 stars because the platform itself is well built and it seems that they will be a good competitor to Zoom when they get it right, but for me to risk having people droping from a webinar due to poor UX is not an option since my customer acquisition cost rises as a result.

I was SO excited about this tool. Wanted to replace Zoom with it. I record my Zoom sessions and upload them to my clients' member portal for viewing later. I was expecting Zoom quality recording but unfortunately the 12 fps won't work for me. You can get 30 fps but it comes with quite a bit of stacking and other terms.

IF you're good with 12fps, then this app is a no brainer!!! Such a steal.

I was waiting for something like this after missing bigmarker earlier. Apart from some shortcomings I think its a good deal. Bought 5 codes; 5 tacos all the way.

While this deal seems very good on the surface, after reading the reviews and questions, I'm requesting a refund on this product.
I purchased my code early on (before I actually knew what 12 FPS actually looked liked).
You need to stack 5 codes to get the quality somewhat acceptable.
It also sounds like if you don't stack all 5 codes you might as well give up on displaying anything but a static PowerPoint.
I understand that it's my bad for not understanding what the quality would look like prior to purchasing, but I can't believe that the creators find this acceptable.

From the backend:
The software looks easy enough to use. It seems pretty intuitive to get started.

I have followed the steps but the password process has failed

The app has not sent me the link to reset it

I tried to do it again but it doesn't work

It doesn't matter if it's the same email or it's different

I always get an error that the code has already been redeemed
but I have no way of logging into the account that has those redeemed codes

what I do?

I've begun using LiveWebinar and have to say that it's really impressive. I did one training session and one coaching call. The sessions went smoothly and all of the tech performed as advertised.

My one taco takeaway comes for two reasons.

First, it's expensive! $495 for 500 attendees and 30fps recording. That stings a little. Gone are the days of getting the moon for $49!

Second, I really wanted to use the embeddable registration forms but they offer very few customizations and they don't look so great embedded in a web page. Dark gray padding all around. Would have been nice if the default was white.

Aside from those two things, LiveWebinar is a solid (and initially expensive) options for webinars. I really look forward to using it more in the very near future.

Do the math... Zoom 500 person webinar capability is $1400/yr or $400 month. So 5 codes was a deal for me as I've outgrown my $400/yr. Zoom account (limit 100 webinar) and 500 was next step up.

I initially purchased 3 codes. The biggest drawback was the 12 fps recording.

I did send and email with some questions about expectations of 12 fps (due to someone on their team mentioned '12 fps is okay for static slides' or something to that effect in the comments section) and I found out that was not the case. If you can only afford less, then consider another screencasting software to record separately.

I got a response within 2 hours and an invitation to a one-on-one (and actually a second rep joined to help as well, so two-on-one) to answer questions. At the end of it, I had more confidence to just buy 2 more codes and for $495, have lifetime with the better recording.

The Pro's are all listed above in the 'sales' area. But my favorite is the permanent room. I've mapped a URL (my domain but .live to it) I use it for client onboarding/offboarding already.

My Con's are:

- Inside the dashboard, there was no link to documentation or support. I had to look for my receipt to find support email. There was only links to YouTube videos and their FB page. Support replied with links to the Manuals & FAQ's pages, but they are not on any navigation bar in the public side or inside the dashboard. I have the links now but have to record them for future reference.

- UI not intuitive (and no tooltips)

- The sharing to FB looks complicated and the manual instructions are not instructional, there's a lot of manual steps on the FB side that they don't address at all. I'm going to have to play around a test it myself, I've done OBS so I have an idea, but Zoom does have it over that with simple connection/sharing to social streaming.

And lastly I know that 12 fps is a big issue with many, so I'm just going to leave this here. When I think that Zoom is $400/yr. for 100 participants and the next jump is 500 participants for $400/mo. or $1400/yr.--when I just needed 300 persons THAT I see as an unacceptable tradeoff.

I'm guessing people would like a different tradeoff and the 30 fps shouldn't be one. I did the math and the $495/life doesn't equal feeling ripped off. It's not an unfair price point if you add up the Pro's.

That being said it's my opinion that offering the low fps at all is like a bakery offering beautifully decorated cakes and only the >$500 cakes taste good (when cake should always taste great or the bakery's reputation suffers) and one should only need pay more for the decoration). But that's me.

So if you are on the fence, there are times when you choose what in the long run will benefit your business and you bite the bullet and invest. I'm thinking this, for me, is one of those times.

Here are 3 involved in this deal that have not done things right.

1. APPSUMO: It gives us the feeling that you have achieved the deal and that you have made the presentation of Livewebinar and that's it. Friends of APPSUMO you read our confusion and requests that we make to the Developers. Why don't you intercede for us with the Developers. You don't see that Developers are losing money with this deal, because Sumo Lings are not dumb. And you APPSUMO also lose money because we don't buy what we could buy. With a good fair deal and no concealment APPSUMO and the Developers could earn triple or quadruple what you earn with this deal now.

2. LIVEWEBINAR DEVELOPERS: You are confused and ambiguous in your offer. You do not say from the beginning clear what is offered and what you DO NOT offer us. Is APPSUMO's treatment like your PRO or BUSINESS plan on your website? Or it is a special version as many other Professional Developers have done that have told us the offer for Sumo Lings is PLUS Version + these extras for 1 or 2 or 3 'Codes' and BUSINES + these extras for 4 or 5 'Codes'. And so we all understand that it contains each offer and that it does not contain each offer.
It is very easy, make a comparative table of the APPSUMO deal and your PRO and BUSINESS plans. ;-)

We are all interested in your prices for the services that you with an APPSUMO agreement have cut us off from this deal. Could you publish them to us?

We were going to buy 5 codes for a BUSINESS PLAN + 3 codes to have more separate rooms = $ 792.00 Dollars. But now we have stopped buying more codes for this offer.

3. SUMO LINGS: Partners do NOT help Developers or Sumo Lings in this community if we do not make sincere, clear and direct evaluations. And giving 5 tacos to look good with the Developers is not the right way. Some of you have made revisions and videos of the reviews and have written everything that is missing and all that you do not like and request from the Developers and still give 5 tacos as if this offer were a product 5 tacos, and it is not . Reading your review reads that you are not happy with this deal. Why do you give him 5 tacos. That is not fair to the other Developers of other Software that if we have made a deal of 5 tacos.

We only give 2 tacos, because Livewebinar is not a bad product, quite the opposite. What is a very confusing, ambiguous and done with intentions of wanting to force us to buy out of LTD treatment and that is not fair or ethical. That's why we subtracted 3 tacos. We gladly give you the 3 tacos for a fair, transparent and WIN WIN deal.

With this exhibition we don't want to offend anyone here. Just speak clearly without the need to want to please anyone. Just being fair. Partners, we hope that this exhibition is also to your liking.

I purchased 5 codes. It's extremely slow in China; I myself is located in NYC. Each time I was testing with only one individual residing in a different region in China. I asked them to do speedtest.net, and all of them hit 50-100m/s download speed range. It is, therefore, useless for me. Zoom works great, but it requires downloading/installing their app. Can you guys add an AWS server in either Tokyo or Singapore? It'll solve the problem for Chinese clients.

Also, I remember I saw that 5 codes would give two consecutive sessions. Now there's only one. Each concurrent session requires an additional code, which would be too expensive in this regard.

It's a robust tool that has is UI and can handle a lot of traffic efficiently. All basics are working very good (presentation mode, meeting, permanent room etc) but there are things I don't like.
Branding on the footer cannot been removed even at the 5 codes stack. Also we started with one room only, then deal changed to 2 rooms per code and then 2 rooms or 100 participants for EACH additional room.
Export frame rate of recordings was added to the info later and it's a huge deal breaker as 12 fps is pretty low to sell a webinar.
Thing is the attitude of being hard on those details that I don't like. It's like trying to push a sell on every corner.
Tool is good and versatile though.
If they make rules of the deal more flexible would be easily a 5 taco deal.

This is by far the best SaaS webinar/meeting software in its class. It just works.

What more can I say?

Invest (as against buy) your money in it and you won't regret it.

I immediately stacked 5 codes after seeing Adam's review video about LiveWebinar. I quickly redeemed all 5 codes in one shot (to save time) and then jumped into the LiveWebinar web to excitedly see how I can have concurring session and how to use.

While I found the interface extremely clean and easy to understand / use for newbie like me, I suddenly found that there is no option to convert users into concurring session after I stacked all the codes. I had no choice but to submit a request for help to LiveWebinar team (in Contact page) with no expectation whether and when they can help to convert. To my surprise, in less than 5 minutes later while I was still exploring the interface, an e-mail came from Chris, the CEO, confirming that they have successfully done my request!!!

This outstanding care and world-class supports are super-amazing! Well done LiveWebinar team - I am sure you will become world-known popular in no time with your excellent product and supports.

OK! Now that I have your attention, I want to manage your expectations with my review here. I have read many of the other reviews, including Adam's, so I will not go through a features list. You can read the others for in-depth analysis (partly because I don't want to type it all out - we need a video review feature on Appsumo ;-).

I am a serial Zoom user. I have also used all major webinar providers and some upstarts. I will not say that LiveWebinar has a miraculous feature set that we have never seen before, but a couple of things rise to the top for ease of use, in my opinion:

1.) This thing works in (nearly) EVERY browser and platform! I have never used a meetings/webinar solution that was genuinely device-agnostic without a download. True enough, to use certain features, you may need to choose a specific browser. For example, screen sharing does not work in Safari, so you'll need to use Chrome. Another example is if you use a third-party app to enable chromakey features, you will not be able to select that virtual camera in Safari or Chrome, but you can use Firefox. Granted, this is not a LiveWebinar limitation, but it is a hitch you may encounter.

I say, "nearly" because of another limitation (not LiveWebinar's fault) of that silly Facebook browser. It's supposed to be based on a real browser platform, but it really is not. SO, do not ever share a link to your webinar, to participants using Facebook messenger (mobile users issue). If you do, that pseudo-browser will join the meeting, and the camera and mic will never be enabled for your attendee(s). It took biz partner and me about 20 minutes to figure out what was happening. Again, not LiveWebinar's fault, but if you encounter this problem, you may not understand what happened.

2.) The support team is extremely adaptable and helpful. I needed something done that was likely outside their normal way of doing biz, and they accommodated my case. For this, I am thankful. I really needed this to work in my favor, and it did.

3.) I will not lie to you and say that every feature is identical to Zoom, or that LiveWebinar has every single feature I love from Zoom (chromakey), but what they do, they do really well. I see that their development team is quick and nimble; therefore, I have canceled my beloved Zoom subscription forever (or at least as long as this company stays in the biz - please stay in the biz, we need you!).

Hey Sumolings!

I have been keeping an eye on this deal since it launched, hoping that the deal would get more feedback from the community and LiveWebinar would make the deal even better. What I just discovered was the opposite, instead of LiveWebinar making this deal even sweeter for us sumolings, it seems that they really are going for a money grab and forcing everyone to pony up for 5 codes to unlock 30 FPS!

If you have it, $495 for LiveWebinar in HD at 30FPS for life! Wow! That's a hard deal to pass up. But if you are bootstrapping it, you could go on their website and get one month for $119 and try out the pro version.

I don't think that a single code is a great of a deal HQ quality at 12FPS, you really have to stack 5 codes to make this useful! If you have $500 to drop on this, you then have the chance to try it out for 60 days and then see if it works.

I am currently using WebinarJam. I have a lifetime license from their launch years ago for $250. Even now I think that it's a better deal to get WebinarJam for $39/month (paid annually) which gives you 500 attendees and Full HD! And better yet, they have a deal for 60 days for $1. (Just google for the $1 Trial)

And when these webinars make your investment back you will be able to make your webinar evergreen and put it on autopilot with WebinarJam's EverWebinar.

Another option that I am looking at is another previous Appsumo called Restream.io $60/m and use it for multicasting the live webinar and but their scheduler is another $99/m to make it evergreen as a scheduled looping broadcast. Restream won't have all the functionality as LiveWebinar though, missing the call to action links and buttons, polls, surveys, etc. (Side note, if have Restream from the AppSumo deal, Google "Restream Discount Codes" or write their support for one and get 40% of as a sumoling)

For me, the goal is to use these appsumo tools like LiveWebinar to make more money so that we can afford the pro-tools. I don't like getting watered down AppSumo deals.

In reality, what I really want is to make so much money that I can afford the pro tools and eventually won't have to rely on discounts or appsumo offers. Most of us are bootstrapping though, so we don't have $495 to invest in an appsumo. I feel like the single code offer for LiveWebinar at $99 is a watered-down lifetime deal.

Here is my plan, use LiveWebinar to make back my investment over the next 60 days and compare it's features to WebinarJam. I hope that LiveWebinar sweetens this deal over the next few weeks.

An issue that I found in their redemption system is that there is no way to upgrade a free account to an appsumo account. I created a free account before I bought the appsumo deal, once I tried to redeem the appsumo deal I was forced to do it under a new email!

There is also no way to upgrade your LiveWebinar Appsumo account to a paid account right now, you have to keep stacking codes.

If you can stack 5 codes, do it.

Customer support is out of this world. While setting up my account, I'm not sure what went wrong as i did not enter my complete email address (left of the .com)

I searched for support and found the contact page and submitted a request to show me how to correct my error. BEFORE I could get back to my email (click back over my email account tab) I refreshed my profile screen and it was updated and I thought I had maybe read it wrong...
when I clicked my tab I had an email stating it was fixed - all of this happened in under 1 minute from start to finish.

For me - that is the record! I have never experienced speedy customer support like that. If this is an indication of what is to come, I'm in heaven!

I did buy 5 codes - I would not have if I had not watched Adams YouTube video review of this platform.

I have to admit that I immediately fell in love with this deal as soon as I saw it.
However when discussions started and additional limitations surfaced I was reminded of some similar deals I joined here appsumo that did not pan out for me as expected.
So I was really sad to see this deal going south while I was following all discussions and the reviews tightly.
Special Thanks to Adam who raised the bar with his detailed review. Even with that help, the concurrent session topics or room split up some of you asked for in the questions became ever more confusing to me.
For all who are sitting on the fence and wait for updates on your questions ... the answers will come soon. I had a really good and constructive conversation (or should I say I grilled the support) with the support team and they said they will (and partially have already) provide detailed answers which will be posted by the appsumo team. They will also have a meeting with HeySummit to brainstorm the concurrent session/breakout room topic to see what their requirements are and how that fits into the overall picture. So I'm really happy to reports that there will be progress, so we should give them a little break to update the deal.

For all the users out there who complain about the 12/24/30 frame topic. I fully understand their point. I wished that LW would include at least 24 frames at the second code. However on the other side I can confirm that 12 frames per second is really enough for those who do mostly screen-recordings. All my screen-recording courses are recorded with 12 frames and work perfectly well. We all watch movies and are perfectly fine with 24 cinematic performance so I would ask for that options at lower codes as well for all who record video. Same applies to Full HD.

So I’m really looking forward to see this deal updated and would love see LiveWebinar thrive and grow with all the help they can gain from this outstanding appsumo community.
