Notch is highly praised for its intuitive design, powerful document creation, and efficient contract management. The platform's clean interface and PDF export feature are also well-received. However, some users have encountered issues with the undo function and table properties. Despite these minor drawbacks, Notch's overall rating of 4.4 and positive customer feedback make it a solid buy, especially with the 60-day money-back guarantee. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Stop adding 'Nice To Have' features when the foundations are broken

I gave Notch my very best for well over a 18 months and gave up on it only recently.

Can't tell you how excited I was at first, and how much I wanted to love it.

Initially, I didn't give much weight to the bugs making the foundational editing experience a tiny bit cumbersome. The odd paragraph disappearing when you hit Enter. "No biggie! You can always just CTRL-Z, then manually click outside of the paragraph to start writing the next."

The bugs seemed to compound and get worse and worse over time though. I came to really start to dread signing into Notch.

Then recently, I was editing a contract, and the bugs were just out of control. Adding any line of text, would delete a random block half way up or down the page. I pushed through over about an hour, and finally reached the bottom of the contract, and the platform just lost all of its marbles. No matter what button I hit, enter or backspace, it would just delete an entire block of text half way up or down the page.

Really not what you want when you're crafting a legal contract.

I was venting to a lawyer afterwards who pointed out that they use Google Sign - and it works absolutely fine for them, and for their startup. Good enough for a lawyer, good enough for me. Swapped over and my sanity has been basically restored.

I didn't even bother raising it with customer support, because after purchasing, the developers have all but abandoned the platform. Every 6-12 months, they then send an update email accompanied with a video like this with a completely AI generated avatar - which is the most offensive, an quite frankly, insulting part.

I find it telling when a developer isn't willing to put a real face to their product. Shows how checked out their product team is.

Crazy to see that they are prioritising 'nice to have' instead of fixing the glitchy 'must have' foundational issues with their software.
-> At best, they're completely disconnected and unaware of the foundational bugs plaguing their product
-> At worst, they're aware, and still just prioritising 'nice to have' features to support intermittent Appsumo sales deals

Either way, I'm treating my failed investment with Notch as a learning experience, and a reminder to prioritise apps with good testimonials supporting their customer support.

A true gem (and its back)

For years I was searching for something to bring together all of my sales materials for proposals. Something that looked the part, impressed clients and gave them plenty of resources without overwhelming.

Step up, Notch. It has helped me clinch so many deals. You can see what my proposals look like here: https://yfsmedia.net/notchdemo

There was a period where they going through a transition and didn't get back to us - I can understand how this frustrated people. And yes, that meant the platform wasn't being actively developed. But it still worked perfectly as it was.

However in the last few weeks the new staff at Notch have been extremely helpful. They seem committed to continuing to grow a great product and bringing the LTD users on the journey with them.

Abandoned product!

I really don't get it, when is AppSumo gonna pull the plug on this. This product is abandoned for quite a while. How are we gonna use this confidently in the future? There is no need to even try implementing this tool in any tool stack if it can't be ensured that it will run smoothly in the future or that we will get any support.

Cmon man...

Great Product, but Listing on AppSumo was a Scam

Although the service is still online, the product is not progressing or developed any more. The Support doesn't reply any more. Which is bad because some of the essential features in the app, can only be provided with the help of the support (i.e. changing personal data).

Notch would have been a great service but is discontinued for a while now. I can't believe, Notch was even offered a second time on AppSumo with a fancy roadmap - while the service actually has been disbanded.

Abandoned. No support.

What started out as bad support slipped very quickly to no support at all. Completely ignored emails, as other reviews have stated. Homepage had inconsistent pricing listed and a non-functioning “book a meeting” link; lazy mistakes. The pricing errors weren’t corrected for months, depsite me emailing them to draw attention to it, which suggests they weren’t even reading emails sent to support. I eventually wrote to one of their backers, which likely precipitated the eventual well-overdue correction. No efforts were made at marketing whatsoever. Lots could have been done at low-to-no cost to improve chances of uptake and retention. Seems like Notch was abandoned long ago, despite the product still being offered for subscription. Raises questions around directors’ responsibilities and what the pre-seed of 1.1 million Euros was being spent on. Showed promise as a product and idea, but incompetently executed. Don’t touch anything by this team going forward. Sadly, a total waste of money.
