Q: The %1 commission is bad
Hi, your product is very good as it seems but the %1 commission killed it. That made Shopify still the king of the game here. For example if we sell €20000 per month we have to give you €200, that is way higher than Shopify subscription with full functionality as well. So why any user would leave Shopify to you?

Jul 18, 2026A: Hi,
Thanks for your honest feedback. I completely understand why the 1% commission may look expensive at first glance.
However, the comparison with Shopify is usually not apples to apples.
With Shopify, you may start with a basic subscription, but as your business grows, you typically end up paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars every month for third-party apps just to get the functionality you need. Before you even launch, you often spend days testing and purchasing plugins from thousands of available options, hoping they work well together.
Selldone is different. More than 1,600 features are built in by us, not by third-party developers. There is no plugin ecosystem to manage, no compatibility issues, no plugin subscriptions, and no dependency on external vendors.
Our customers don't come to Selldone because it is the cheapest option. They come because of the value we call "No Plugin." It dramatically reduces complexity, maintenance, security risks, and hidden costs while allowing businesses to scale much faster.
Also, the 1% commission is what guarantees Selldone's sustainability and continuous growth. Instead of charging everyone high monthly subscriptions regardless of success, we only grow when our customers grow. This aligns our incentives with yours—we are motivated to keep improving the platform because your success is our success.
If your business only needs a very basic store with minimal functionality, Shopify can certainly be a good choice. But if you're looking for an all-in-one Business OS with built-in ERP, POS, marketplace, booking, subscriptions, AI automation, advanced workflows, and over 1,600 native features without relying on plugins, Selldone offers a very different value proposition.
That's why many businesses choose Selldone—not to save a few dollars today, but to avoid the long-term complexity and hidden costs of the plugin ecosystem.

Thank you for your reply, but with all respect I disagree. Because also with you as the business grow the fees grow dramatically and still way more expensive than Shopify. Shopify is a very sold platform with many major brands using it, plus the connectivity is guaranteed with any technology, so with all respect unless you remove your commission for AppSumo buyers, Shopify still the king.
Very good point, I totally agree. Commission with LTD, doesn't make sense.
Thanks for your comment. Wishing you the best of luck with your business.

Yes, it's necessary for Selldone to make money via commission on a transaction. Else the platform cannot sustain itself, iterate, reinvest and make a decent livelihood. Much better than a flat fee imposed regardless of your profit, income or sales volume.
Thank you. That is true.
