Great question.

Unlike most payment providers (such as Stripe and many others), which typically keep their processing fees even when an order is fully refunded—and in some cases also charge additional fees for processing the refund—Selldone generally does not charge the 1% transaction fee on refunded physical product orders.

We understand that refunds are a normal part of many businesses. For example, in industries like footwear or apparel, customers may return products simply because the size doesn't fit. We believe sellers shouldn't be penalized for those ordinary situations.

That said, we do reserve the right to apply the transaction fee in cases of excessive or abusive refund patterns. For example, if a store is processing an unusually high number of refunds on a regular basis (e.g. hundreds of refunded orders every month), we may treat those cases differently.

Our goal is to keep the policy fair for honest merchants while also protecting the platform from abuse.
