I am genuinely impressed -every Taco well deserved
I bought Support Board a few weeks ago and have been busy setting it up. I was completely new to chatbots and had to learn everything from scratch. Before Support Board, I purchased another chatbot here on AP and had tried yet another one before that, but neither met my expectations.
It took me some time to understand a lot of things—not only related to Support Board but also general concepts like how to prompt a bot correctly, how different functions work, and where to find them. There are definitely areas that can be improved, and I’ll get into that, but first things first:
The support has been outstanding.
I want to highlight the great support I received from Federico. His help and patience were exceptional. At some point, I even felt bad for asking so many questions, but he still responded thoroughly every time. Their website support bot is also incredibly helpful; I spent a lot of time chatting with it while setting up some more advanced configurations.
The possibilities you get with Support Board are impressive.
The sheer amount of features is on another level, with Shopify integration being just one of them. SB is not your typical basic chatbot—it’s built to handle many business cases. I still can’t believe how much value you get for such a low investment. I’ve compared it with other tools and even chatted with other business owners about it; they were genuinely impressed, especially after hearing about the price and capabilities.
Is it perfect? No—there are hiccups. But overall, this tool is amazing. You get an OpenAI-powered chatbot with many visual and technical customization options. You can connect multiple WhatsApps, integrate various platforms, create and separate inhouse departments, and even access a built-in CRM. There’s an API for WhatsApp bulk messaging—which was NOT easy to set up, but once it works, it’s a game-changer. I'm wondering why this gets so little attention, it is a GREAT GREAT feature you easily pay good money for if using another subscription tool. You get human takeover, and OMG: SMART REPLIES (something I had been searching for without even knowing the name, I cant stress how much I love this feature), which give real-time suggestions to human agents based on your training material —even new hires will be able to perform well with that in support. There’s also a unified inbox for all communication channels, snippets, flows, automations, agent notifications, user notifications, fallback messages via SMS/email, and so much more that I can’t even list everything.
At the beginning, I got mixed results, but that had more to do with my own prompts and training material. After restructuring and improving my content, the bot performance improved significantly. I wish I had been able to test it on a broader scale; I’m about to launch a new Meta Ads campaign where SB will play a major role in retargeting a campaign as the first responder via WhatsApp, really looking forward to it and that will REALLY be the stress test. Even with limited testing, the results were already pretty decent, and the Shopify integration worked very well.
Again, it’s not perfect—no tool is. Many business owners I know spend up to $150/month on bots (without Meta messaging costs) and still don’t get perfect results. So expectations need to stay realistic.
A few things I would love to see improved or added:
-The API works, but I struggled to retrieve the phone field form the user contacts. In one automation case i managed to get them, but in another i just couldn't find a way.
-A simple, native auto-reply function that doesn’t require OpenAI or Dialogflow.
-A native iOS app (the PWA works, but a more robust app would be great).
-The UI is somewhat basic and feels outdated—but honestly, I prefer a simple UI that works over a flashy one full of bugs.
-The menu can be confusing at first, though manageable once you learn your way around.
-Automations are available but either lack certain functions or I couldn’t figure out how to configure them properly.
Overall: this tool is AMAZING. I genuinely don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about it. It deserves way more attention than it gets. Maybe I am over enthusiastic and I really hope I will not change my mind when I try it out on a major scale, but for now, I am happy about this purchase.
So my final conclusion: 5/5 Tacos — and GRAB IT WHILE YOU CAN!!!

Can't Get Enough!
I purchased 3 copies of Support Board for use in our companies and for an NGO that I help with. Support Board has a lot of features and takes a lot of effort to set up and configure but the effort is well worth it! We are also using their API to integrate with other apps (using CODA, Make and OttoKit) and it's been a real benefit for us to level-up in our use and benefit of this tool. Support has been excellent too.

I have been testing different alternatives on Appsumo and also other paid ones like Tawk.to.
I believe Support Board is the best quality/price option. I like that it has BYOK, because then I can choose the model I want, ensuring good performance in responses. Other options on the market force you to use "their" AI, and in the end, it is always based on the cheapest possible model, so the responses always feel artificial.
Beyond that, I think Support Board has a great opportunity to improve its system to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Right now, unless you have some prior knowledge, for new users in the world of AI and also in support chats, there is a somewhat complex learning curve at the beginning.
However, it is something that can be improved over time.
The system itself seems robust, functional, and advanced. It can cover all your support needs. In my case, we do a whitelabel of GHL and this software is definitely more than enough to support our clients.
I chose the highest tier... not because I needed many users, but for the amount of characters for training the AI. In our case, we had more than 300 docs created in tawk.to. What we did was leave them there with their free plan (there is no way to export them all at once) and we trained the Support Board AI with the links of each document. It took a couple of hours of work, and with that, the AI is trained and ready to respond to users.
