Basic service with many customization restrictions
While it has some limitations and you need to create multiple accounts to form a team - which is very confusing - it's a decent service if you only need something basic without many features.
On the other hand, the embed section already has several limitations:
- You can only select two colors.
- You can only choose two font types.
- And only one background.
Beyond that, they don't allow any further customization, regardless of the logo you place on the embed.
What they do for you is:
- They modify the calendar as they see fit (don't expect to adapt it 100% to your site - you never will).
- For the font you select, they impose the size they want (don't expect design consistency).
- They change the responsive size arbitrarily (sometimes it looks good, other times it doesn't). Expect it to look decent on your site occasionally, but later everything looks terrible.
Apparently, they have no interest in fixing these issues.
Basic functions the embed should have:
- Hide or show elements based on client needs.
- Add options for all fonts - at least the most basic ones:
- Font size.
- Line height.
- Styles: strong, semi-bold, etc.
- Show or hide agent images.
Basically, add any type of customization. At least for what's been requested, I don't think it's that difficult. The rest can stay as it is.

Slow to update availability with existing calendars
I think the idea of having a much cheaper competitor to Calendly is great, but ultimately, I found the execution of the program falling short of what I needed. The biggest problem I had was that it didn't update to reflect my availability on my calendars. I would hit the resync button, but even after a few hours had passed, it still didn't update. I had a new appointment that made a certain time block unavailable, but when I looked on TidyCal, it still showed that time slot as available. When you have valuable client prospects booking meetings based on this outdated information, it becomes extremely embarrassing to have to reschedule something that may have taken days to arrange. The savings you get may not be worth the cost of lost business if you need timely and accurate calendars. Also, when I emailed support, I got an autoreply saying it would take 3 days to get a response. That's an unforgiveable response time in this day and age.
