How can I redeem multiple codes without a running website? I have the plan with 5 codes (some of them for future use), but it seems that I need to enter a domain name before I can redeem a code. Am I missing something?
You can redeem your codes without having an active website or a domain name ready to go. The system will ask for a domain name, but you can just enter a dummy domain like 123website.com to get through the process. Once you have a real domain, you can easily change it later by adding the new one and deleting this once.
In another answer on this page I've read: "At this time, once a website is added to your subscription, it continues to count toward your usage—even if you delete it. (...) However, if a site was added by mistake, you can rename it (up to 3 characters).
Does this not apply to redeeming a code with a 'fake' domain name?
Not anymore we used to discourage recycling as it costs us everytime you add a domain. But this is not the case anymore you can delete and add a domain without it counting towards usage.
Q: Installation guide for Wordpress Plugin is confusing, please help, woudl you?
Your Installation guide for wordpress via the plugin method says, activate, go to settings, enter webability API key.
Question 1) You mean enter the Webability API key in the wordpress plugin settings or enter it somewhere on the webability dashboard? I am assuing enter API key on the wordpress plugin settings.
Question 2) I struggled for last 60 precious minutes scavenging everything in the dashboard to find the API key and they are listed nowhere! Is this feature not yet active or its active and you will provide me guidance on where to find it?
First off, I want to sincerely apologize for the confusion and the time you spent trying to figure this out. I completely understand how frustrating that must have been.
To clarify the correct process:
Activate the WebAbility plugin in WordPress.
Add your domain inside app.webability.io . Once the domain is added, the widget will automatically activate—no API key needed.
We are still working through some challenges with the WordPress marketplace integration, which is why the plugin instructions are not as clear as they should be. This will be fully streamlined soon.
In the meantime, please feel free to email us at support@webability.io . We would like to offer our apologies properly—whether through some WebAbility goodies or another gesture to make up for the lost time.
Thank you again for your patience and for flagging this—it really helps us improve.
Thank you for letting us know—I’m really sorry you ran into that issue with the screen reader voice. You did not do anything wrong.
Could you please email us at support@webability.io with a bit more information—such as your website URL and where exactly you noticed the issue? This will help us test the widget directly on your site and identify what needs to be fixed.
We are continuously improving the screen reader experience, and your feedback is extremely valuable. We’ll make sure an updated fix gets shipped as quickly as possible. As a small thank-you for your patience and for helping us improve, we would be glad to send you a little something from our side.
Let's say I purchsed 2 widgets and added them to 2 websites website.. and after some time these websites got closed or their owner stopped working with me, can I add the widgets to another two websites? Or once used on a website, it can't be moved to a different website? Also do you offer white label option? I mean can I add my agency name on the widget? I am considering buying the biggest plan..
A: Yes, you’ll be able to move your widgets from one site to another. Domain recycling is allowed — you simply delete the old domain in your WebAbility dashboard and then add the new one.
White-labeling is available on all plans, so you can brand the widget with your agency’s name regardless of which plan you choose.
If you’re leaning toward the bigger plan, that will just give you more domains to work with at once, but the flexibility and white-label features are included across the board.
A: Yes — WebAbility can be integrated with WebWave sites. Since WebWave allows you to add custom code, you can simply insert our script snippet into the site’s settings. Once installed, the accessibility widget will load across the site just like it does on WordPress, Duda, or other builders.
If you’d like, I can share a quick step-by-step guide for WebWave specifically — it only takes a few minutes to set up.
