How can I address situations in which tunnels appear along my route, but the animation, instead of disappearing upon entering the tunnel, continues above the mountain? It would be significantly more realistic and visually appealing if the cursor concealed itself at the tunnel entrance and then reappeared at the exit.
Additionally, how can I configure the system so that, when making a stop at a specific point along the route, it displays videos and photos of that location as a point of interest? Thank you.

A: Hi there! At the moment, this is not possible. Tunnel handling is tied directly to the 3D terrain rendering, and because routing is currently linked to terrain exaggeration, the route cannot be hidden when entering a tunnel. The only workaround would be to disable 3D terrain entirely, but that also removes the visual depth and elevation effects.
My usecase. If I wanted to enter xx amount of pins (addresses) would it be able to visually show them on a street map and then get the option of choosing the route? What are the maximum number of pins we can input?
As a Realtor, I want to showcase neighborhoods, some of them new. Do the rendered videos rely on Google Earth (may not exist yet on new neighborhoods)? Or only on images, video I take?
Is this a good use case? How might I go about doing this?
Thank you.

A: Hi there! The underlying map data comes from Mapbox, which isn’t updated as frequently as Google Maps. Unfortunately, that means I can’t always provide the most recent satellite imagery of specific neighborhoods.
I am looking for a setting that shows/toggles street names. Does it exist?
I want to provide directions using AVOMAP for b&b guests, while visually it's ok, street names as well would be much better.
Thanks

A: Hi John, I just emailed you. Adding a new AvoMap base layer is possible. A layer with all the names doesn’t exist yet, but it could be added. Could you submit this as a feature request on the feature board? Thanks! 🙏
Q: Custom Route Drawing Over Water (Boat Tours Use Case)
Hello Tobias, I run boat tours on a lake and I’m exploring how to use AvoMap to map our routes. What I’d like to do is the following: Instead of only defining a start and end point, add custom points (way-points) sequentially on the map — for instance: one point in the middle of the lake, then another point further on the lake, then another, etc.
Each click on the map would add a new point, and...

A: Hi there, and thanks so much for your question!
Routing over water or creating boat routes is a highly requested feature, but it’s not yet available in AvoMap. Right now, I’m in the middle of developing AvoMap v3, which will come with many improvements and new tools.
Once that version is ready, I plan to add a “drawing” tool that will let users freely create custom routes — not limited to...
