Q: I don't understand the difference between AI actions (3-8) and credits (1000-5000).

This looks like a very exciting and potentially perfect tool for a challenge I'm looking to solve. I think it's shaping up to be a great product - and some of the things on your roadmap are equally exciting.

I've read all the questions posed so far, and your responses, but I cannot understand what an "AI Action per AI employee" is vs "Credits".

I do understand that credits are charged per automation, not for the steps in an automation.

Would you please provide 2-3 examples of what 'AI Actions' are vs 2-3 examples of things I'd use 'Credits' for?

Thanks!

A: Hey, thanks for the support! Here is a direct breakdown of how these work.

Credits are the usage currency. They are consumed for:
- Automation triggers - you are only charged for the initial trigger, not for each action inside the workflow.
- AI responses - each message sent counts as a credit, so if the AI splits an answer into two messages, that uses two credits.

AI Actions are the active tools or integrations your AI employee knows how to use. For example:
- Searching products on Shopify.
- Checking available meeting spots on Calendly.

Essentially, AI Actions are the skills your AI has access to, and Credits are the currency spent to trigger automations and send messages. Hope this helps you choose the best tier for your workflow!

So... for example, if I want my AI to respond to instagram DMs, the integration/skill/AI action is something like "engage with IG", but the credit is each time a phrase triggers an automation...? Or, if i AI checks tidycal to schedule an appointment, integration with tidycal is the AI action, but the automation that starts with 'I'd like to schedule an appointment' is a credit?

Not exactly, the AI Action is an optional tool set the AI has, you can view it as API calls the AI can do as part of the conversation, for example search the store's website, open a ticket in CRM etc. About the credits, you are correct, the automation that started the conversation is 1 credit and then each message of the AI is a credit.

also... if i choose tier 1 or 2 and decide I need 2 or 3... can I upgrade through app sumo by adding another tier/combining tiers, like code stacking? or would I have to buy the whole new level at full cost? (e.g. If I had tier 2 and decided I really need tier 3, could I buy tier 1 to level up, or would I need to buy tier 3, even though I had tier 2 already?)

You can always move up and down the Tiers, this will upgrade or downgrade the plan on our platform. So if you buy Tier 1 and decide you want more features and credits, you can definitely upgrade to Tier 3. You can't code stack but you can upgrade the tier on AppSumo (it uses proration, so you won't pay full price when upgrading)
