I currently use the THINKI*** platform. I have about 200 students who already have progress in my courses. I would like to buy 5 AppSumo codes to be able to have up to 15 courses in OCH. My problem is the migration: how can I migrate my current courses and students from THINKI*** while preserving their progress statistics?
I'm based in Portugal. When there is a subscription and it's payed by stripe or Paypal how does this is handled in terms of taxes.
For the one time payment I have a cart system that creates an invoice and goes to the portuguese authorities, but with subscriptions it's easier to have it based here on OCH.
How do I declare in the end of each trimester to my accountant. Is it...

A: Hello Lourenco,
Thank you for writing in.
Taxes are handled by Stripe, so when you activate Stripe on your course website for subscriptions, you need to integrate Stripe tax as well, and Stripe will handle it. Since your students' payments go directly to your bank account and not to us, you need to handle everything on your Stripe dashboard.
We do not have any integrations for tax on PayPal...
I'm demonstrating something on YouTube, and I would like to provide a link to download a PDF file that summarizes or highlights for YouTube. Is that considered a course ? If not, is there any limit to the number of digital downloads?

A: Hello Fillip,
Thank you for writing in.
If you create the digital download as a standalone, it becomes a course and takes out of your course limit.
But if you create it under an existing course as a lesson, it doesn't count as a course, and as a lesson, there is no limit to the number of digital downloads that you can create.
that’s great so just to confirm I can create a PDF for a course and uploaded and they can download it and in the future I can add more PDF to that specific course. Perfect thank you
Wondering if y'all support using Livid instead of vimeo or youtube for a video hosting platform. Livid has an AppSumo product and it looks really good, but I don't want to purchase it if it won't work with onlinecoursehost because my courses are already on your platform (and I'm liking it at OCH, even with a few quirks). Can you comment on whether Livid would be a possibility under your 'other platforms' option in a video lesson?

A: Hello there,
Thank you for writing in.
If your video hosted on Livid comes with an embed code, you can use it under "Other Platforms." Every video hosted externally with an embed code can be used.
You can see my parallel question in the Livid questions, but over there ‘dep’ said: Hi! Just changed 48 videos from Vimeo to Livid on onlinecoursehost.com. Tweaked the Livid Customized Appearance - removing the Livid logo and limited most of the player controls. Under the Share & Embed section of Livid I made the videos Unlisted for privacy and under Advanced Settings I added my
… onlinecoursehost.com domain under restricted embed domains. Works like a charm!
To which I also added:
Thanks! This is super helpful! Do you happen to know if this minimizes the risk of people copying the link and sharing it like they can do on YouTube unlisted?
Yes, it came in order, and I also found the thread on Livid's page. I'm not sure how Livid's domain and watch restrictions work, but as long as the video can be embedded and watched anywhere (as Dep and Matt explained), it will work on your platform with us. All you need is the HTML embed code.
Add livid convo for others w/same ?. Matt_livid: In embed section, if you add domain restrictions the video is only available for playback on the Livid domains + any domain you selected. You can also turn off the watch page if you add domain restrictions to prevent further sharing of the video. As with any form of sharing protections (including DRM!) this isn't perfect, but will stop link sharing.

Q: How many "Community" rooms in each code?
Same question for SCORM imports and community history.
Abisola_OnlineCourseHost
Jun 29, 2026A: Hello there,
Thank you for writing in.
For each code used on different websites, you have 1 community, 3 rooms, 1 year of community history, and 5 SCORM courses.
However, if you redeem multiple codes on one website, only the course access will increase from 3 to 6 or 9 or 30. Other features will not increase.
