A: Hey, Sumo-ling! If you have specific questions about transitioning, definitely check out https://sendfox.helpscoutdocs.com/ or email the SendFox support team. We'll be glad to help you out.
That's the best way to talk about transitioning, as we want to be sure we fully understand your current setup and can help you transition in the best way. Better to talk about over email vs. in the AppSumo comments.
Q: Hi SendFox,
This looks perfect for what I will need.
Just had a question about the awesome pages you can create. I saw this one: https://sendfox.com/noah/feed
Is there a way to white label these pages or will it always say SendFox? There’s no way to search questions (that I could find) so I apologize if this has been asked.
A: Hey, Cyn! Thanks for your question. Stay foxy back! 🦊
No worries about not being able to search thru the comments. AppSumo is adding search ability in the comments soon — maybe even by the time some people read this it will be live. Will make it MUCH easier for people to find answers.
At this time, no way to white label and no plans to white label. Keeping it on our side makes it muuuuuch easier to build and improve the Smart Pages vs. having to build a separate self-hosted ability. If we had all the time in the world, there's a lot we would do (like this) but time keeps us honest and humbled about the limits of what we can accomplish. 😉
Q: I have 2 question:
1-Do i need a domain Email to send emails?
or gmail is ok? 2-Can i create HTLM form? your email system dont integrate with my landingpage but my landingpage plugin offer HTLM form integration 3-I heard that your emails go to tab promotion of Gmail? is this true? How many % go to Primary Inbox? thanks
1) You can use your own domain, or a free email address. For free email addresses we "re-route" through one of our SendFox domains to make sure your emails still deliver. If you have more questions about this, feel free to email our support. Glad to explain the technicalities if you're curious. But the high-level is, you'll be fine no matter if you validate your own domain or just use our out-of-the-box setup.
2) Yes, we have forms inside of SendFox. We also integrate with our sister company Sumo.com, which has the best forms in the world to make it easier for you.
3) 100% of email solutions (like ours, MailChimp, ConvertKit, anyone) start out going to the Promotions tab. This is true literally all the time when someone starts emailing from a newsletter tool. When your subscribers start engaging with your emails, Gmail will automatically move those emails to the Primary tab for that subscriber.
I'm looking at the Empire Add-On, to get the HTML editor and no branding. I notice that the Appsumo licence deals include unlimited sends, but the Empire Add-On mentions up to 70,000 sends per month. If I purchased the current deal on Appsumo, but then added the Empire Add-On via the Sendfox website, will I still get the unlimited sends of the Appsumo deal, or will I then be limited to 70,000 sends per month as per the Empire Add-On? (2) Say I buy licence Tier 2 now, but then decide to upgrade to licence Tier 3 later. How would I do this?
I see you're a verified purchaser. Welcome to the party. 🙌 So glad to have you. Not to brag or anything (OK I totally am 😉), but you're joining the BEST email solution for content creators to join their audience. Our family is 20,000+ people strong and includes Ryan Holiday, Shane Snow, YouTuber "Yoga With Adriene", and so many more awesome people. Excited you're here, too.
To answer your question...
1) You can ignore the sends for the Empire Add-On. For every Sumo-ling, the Empire Add-On is only $10 since you already get unlimited sends (as long as it doesn't violate sendfox.com/tos). Sumo-lings get the best deal as usual.
2) In your product list for SendFox on AppSumo, there's a "Change Plan" in the drop-down. You can enhance or reduce your purchase that way. I believe it needs to be within the refund period of 60 days.
A: What's up, phanibh9! Thanks for reading the other comments. 🙌
Here's all you need to know about sending emails on SendFox when it comes down to it...
Do the subscribers WANT the emails you're sending? Both did they sign up to receive the types of emails, and are the results in-line with industry average. Here's a good breakdown of industry averages: https://mailchimp.com/resources/email-marketing-benchmarks/
Would YOU want to receive the emails you're sending? If they're super FOMO, scarcity-clickbait-garbage that links to ClickFunnels pages with auto-play videos, big bold text, and other lame stuff... then that's not good.
We ban when results are way lower than industry average (~3x worse), there are above-average spam complaints against the email, or the email links to extremely low domain score websites.
When broken down, our philosophy is pretty simple and obvious. If you're sending quality emails that you would want to receive, and you're getting good results, you're fine. The numbers don't lie, so that's why we look at it objectively based on results.
Let's say I buy 25000 subscribers plan now and then down the track lets say every few months I will be getting thousand more subscribers. I will be able to buy $10 per 1000 subscribers as per your post above. I will be able to send unlimited emails to all my subscribers? Even if they grow to 50k or even more?
I am paying to aweber since 12 years+. Your service will be able to save me lots of money.
I send occasional affiliate offers to my subscribers is it possible to do that?
Thank you great service looking forward to using sendfox.
At this time, for lifetime deal, our financial models show things start to get really hairy after 25,000 subscribers. We do have a few dozen subscribers that have more than 25,000 subscribers who are sending regularly, and our approach there has been to move them to the Empire Add-On.
We're still collecting data on what works and the options >25,000 subscribers. Being the first major solution in the industry to offer a lifetime deal like we do comes with new territory, and new learnings!
My suggestion is to get Tier 3 right now, and we can talk about a solution down the line for you if you grow past the 25,000. There are always solutions to trim your list from the "dead weight" of inactive subscribers, too, so we could always help you stay below the 25,000.
(P.S. We built SendFox because we had used AWeber and Mailchimp for years for Chief Sumo Noah's list, and we very frustrated at the cost and issues. So we feel you.)
Woohoo! Welcome to the Cool Kids Club, IMGuru. 😉 Glad to have you onboard. So much more coming for SendFox — included free in your Lifetime plan for, well, life!
To answer your questions...
1) Since we're the first and only full-feature independent email solution that offers a lifetime deal, we're definitely entering uncharted territory and setting the industry on fire. This also means that there are some nuances with economics of our solution we're figuring out. I talk about this in other comments, so feel free to browse, but the short of it is: Past 25,000 subscribers, providing a lifetime deal becomes unprofitable very quickly. So over 25,000 subscribers we typically have to move customers to a monthly Empire Add-On plan. The good news is the monthly plan has some extra features (HTML editor, no branding, etc.) and it's 2-3x less than any other email tools out there. So it's still super affordable, and it helps us keep developing the tool and paying our server bills.
2) I've also talked about affiliates in other comments so feel free to browse. First, we have our terms at sendfox.com/tos. The terms are only a few pages so easy to read and everyone should familiarize. For affiliates, if the results are poor, they redirect to those stupid auto-play videos with a bunch of "act now!" scarcity offers or other crap, we don't allow that. And a big reason why we don't allow it is because Gmail / G Suite HATES affiliate emails (check out their bulk sender guidelines, which has an entire section devoted to affiliate emails: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126?hl=en). They spam the heck out of any affiliate emails that are low-quality, so we want to help our customers avoid those issues.
Hope that helps! Welcome again to SendFox.
Q: First, excuse my English, it's not my mother tongue.
I work for a nonprofit that publishes information on a specific topic.
We share our publications on social networks where we have just over 1000 followers.
From the beginning, we were interested in sending our publications by email, but we have a very small budget.
I think we could buy a License Tier 1 but it's possible that in few months or a year it won't be enough. In that case,
1. Could we buy at that time a License Tier 2 or (hopefully) a License Tier 3 at the same price as the current offer?
2. Could we pay an upgrade, that is, the difference between the License Tier 1 and the one we will buy at that time?
I'm asking this because I read in the SubHub offer: "Once the deal is done, we will honor the tier prices for anyone who wants to increase their member levels or storage at a later date." I can't found here, but maybe it's something usual in these offers and for regular buyers it's not necessary to clarify it.
I ❤️non-profits, and respect the heck out of what you do. I've served as an advisor and leader in a few non-profits, so I know what you mean when you say funds are tight.
I wish I could 100% guarantee the same prices forever years from now, but unfortunately, I can't. I don't think any of us could have predicted COVID-19 and the financial impact for businesses, and none of us can see the future as far as inflation, any natural disasters that might affect our tech and server bills, etc.
SendFox will ALWAYS be priced affordably. Right now, we're the only full-feature independent email tool that offers a lifetime deal. And even our Empire Add-On for extra features is literally 10-100x less cost than our competitors. (Side note: I was playing with Mailchimp again recently, and I can't believe how much they charge for basic features.)
So we'll always be affordable, and we'll always give Sumo-lings all future lifetime updates free for life... but I can't say if you want to upgrade a few years from now our pricing will be the same.
Q: Hi
I have stacked 3 Eventsframe codes giving me 3 different seperate accounts of 5000 tickets for events.
I see that i can integrate sendfox My question is do i need to use 3 different accounts ie 1 code per account for each eventsframe account or can i just use the 2 stack of sendfox.
I'm not really sure how Eventsframe works, but you can't "stack" multiple separate license purchases like you used to be able to "stack" codes. In other words, if you buy two separate license purchases you'd have to redeem those under two separate accounts.
The purpose of the license tier system is that you can purchase the tier you want right away, so you could purchase tier 2 or 3 and activate that to get the increased subscriber volume. Yay!
A: Hey, Sumo-ling! If you buy a license, you'll need to "enhance" (aka upgrade) your tier for the time being to increase your limit capacity. You won't be able to upgrade for more subscribers directly on our site — yet. You'll only be able to enhance on the AppSumo side for now.
We're planning to allow licensed Sumo-lings to upgrade in the future, but it's a bit of a technical challenge with all the nuances for on-site purchases, the old deal code-based purchases, and now license purchases. A lot of facts to consider!
Q: Read a bunch of responses but still unclear on the Empire Add On...
If I buy the 25,000 emails on Appsumo with unlimited sending , and then I buy Empire Addon - Do I pay just $10/month or am I paying $10/month x all the extra emails over 50,000?
A: What's up, Sumo-ling! Always good to clarify, appreciate the question. 🙌
Empire Add-On for all Sumo-lings is currently $10 per month flat fee, month-to-month cancel anytime. Whether you have 3,000 subscribers, or 25,000 subscribers, it's the same $10 price.
Yes, Empire Add-On will be $10 per month, month-to-month, cancel anytime for the time being.
The Empire Add-On will almost definitely change price someday, but I'm not sure when that is. I'm just saying this so all the Sumo-lings who are like "you said it was $10!!!! omg wtf!?!?!?!" a year from now if we increase price know. EVERYTHING changes in price... the price of a dollar is literally not the same a year from now because of inflation, and Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. constantly increase their monthly costs to align with inflation, increasing tech costs, etc. If we could keep it $10 forever, we would, but the economy wouldn't allow us to do so.
So yes, $10 per month for the time being. And if it ever changes, we'll make sure to let people know beforehand so they can either continue or cancel.
Q: Hi!
I have a couple of questions about SendFox. * Do you have a roadmap to see what the future looks like for SendFox? * Are there any plans to be able to track people going through our funnel? I would like to be able to track people that fell off the funnel at some point and to be able to create sequences/automation to send them back to buy. Are you planning to add more triggers for automations?
Basically I would like to know if you are going to add some basic features that other platforms have to improve sales. Thanks so much!
1) No public roadmap at this time, and no plans to make our roadmap public. Being a small company, we're able to be REALLY nimble with our features and react quickly. That means if people want a certain feature, or we think of something, we'll do it 1000000x faster than any other email tool out there and will put it in the roadmap right away. I think sharing a public roadmap would just cause issues on our side since things get moved up or down in priority regularly.
2) At this time, no. We're designed for content creators, and that's our target market. There are some segmentation things we have in mind for content creators, but the need for something as advanced as you mention is not what we're aiming for at this time. Really sorry! There might be another tool that's better suited to your type of biz.
Yes, the 5,000 is ALL contacts. In the future, we will no longer count unsubscribes — and for the time being, you can write into our support team and we can manually remove unsubscribed, inactives, and unconfirmed contacts to help you lower your subscriber count.
Yes, when you import we assume you have consent so subscribers don't need to double opt-in again.
Generally-speaking about double opt-in, our primary reason for double opt-in is to be GDPR compliant, and California privacy law compliant. I doubt in the near future email senders will be able to send emails to non-confirmed contacts anymore. There are too many consumer-focused regulations going in place that double opt-in I predict will be a necessity.
Was going to buy a 3rd tonight, to get the light branding, then redeem the codes all in one go. I've now seen the deal has changed to a licence based one. So I currently have the 2 codes that I've bought, but haven't yet redeemed. What will I get for those 2 codes? Am I still able to redeem them? When I bought this deal the 2 codes would have gotten 10,000 subscribers and unlimited email sends? Is this still correct? I'm a bit confused as to whether I should now redeem them, or refund and buy a code or three under this new deal.....Thanks, Ray
There are a few things to keep in mind with this deal vs. the last...
1) The new SendFox deal is helping AppSumo test a new license-based system, so codes are no longer sold. Licenses are more secure, they stop resellers from gouging prices, and have a few other benefits.
2) You can't stack a license on top of codes. You can either refund your codes (if you're in the refund period) and get a license — or, as mentioned in another comment, you're able to upgrade directly on SendFox $10 for every 1,000 new subscribers you want. We want to make sure that no matter codes or licenses, SendFox customers are hooked up.
It's about 10,000 contacts. Do I have to upgrade to the Empire Add-On so that my existing contacts don't have to Double Opt-in? I see it's required in all the plans. Otherwise, I will lose more than half of my existing subscribers.
A: What's up, Sumo-ling! Before we built SendFox for ourselves, we had recently used AWeber too for YEARS. We were sick of its crazy price and degrading performance, so we feel you on the transition.
To answer your question: Nope. Any contacts you import will NOT have to double opt-in. We assume you already have consent to email them, so legally, we wipe our hands clean.
The only contacts who will have to double opt-in are new contacts you get via forms, Smart Pages, or the API.
This is to help reduce the bots you have joining your list, plus double opt-in is basically a requirement for GDPR and these new California privacy laws, if you have any contacts in Europe or California. We've got your back! 💪
Q: Hello, I would like to confirm that SendFox's subscribers equals "contacts" for the other email folks like mailchimp, convertkit, mailerlite?
Also, does that mean if I have a list of 12,000 folks, I need 5000 to sign-up before i Need to jump to the next level or am I only able send 5000 emails per month to 5000 contacts or "subscribers?" Thank you, Michael
Yup, our subscribers are called Contacts. In the screenshots above, and inside the app when you join, you'll see we actually label them "Contacts" internally.
You can buy whichever tier you want. Starting in the next couple days, you'll be able to also enhance or reduce (aka upgrade or downgrade) your tier after purchase for 60 days (aka during the typical refund period).
And if your list still grows even after your enhance eligibility ends on AppSumo, you're still able to buy more subscribers on our website for a flat fee of $10 per 1,000 additional subscribers.
Just a one-time fee for contact upgrades at this time, Fang.
The Empire Add-On with additional features (HTML editor, absolutely no branding, optional double opt-in) is the affordable monthly add-on.
Q: I can't find anywhere on the Sendfox website to report a bug, so I'll do it here...
When I signed up for Sendfox I used my normal email address, which is different to my newsletter email address (same domain name but different 'username' )
I want to set up Sendfox so that all correspondence to subscribers is from newsletter@mydomainname.com
That works fine for the actual newsletter emails themselves, because I can set up each one individually, But the double opt-in emails all come from the email that I signed up with.
So I went into settings and changed the email address to newsletter@mydomainname.com
That saved okay. There is now no record of the email that I signed up with.
But the double opt in confirmation emails still come from the original email address that I signed up with.
I can't seem to change it anywhere.
What happens now is that subscribers get their double opt in emails from one of my email accounts, and the newsletters come from a different email account.
I can't use the software until this bug/problem is fixed. I want to send all emails from one single email address that is dedicated for email subscribers only.
Any chance of fixing this? I can't use this software until it is fixed.
This is something we're aware, so apologies for the inconvenience here. We're working on a fix. You can always email the SendFox support if you need help, so don't hesitate to reach out.
In the near future, we're going to give customers the ability to edit their double opt-in confirmation emails directly. So you can change not only your "from" address in unique situations like this where your account email changes post-signup, but you can also change the copy you use for your double opt-in confirmation in general to match your brand tone. Yay!
But curious how upgrading will work- I plan on purchasing Lic 1 or 2 to test it out. if all goes well, how would I upgrade to Lic 3 before the deal ends? Thx.
A: Hey, Tyreek — can't wait for you to try SendFox. 😃
Yes, you will. The AppSumo team is adding the ability to "enhance" and "reduce" your tiers (aka upgrade or downgrade) either this week or next. That makes it easy for you to test out tier 1, and then upgrade to tier 2 or 3 when you're ready for it.
We're confident that you'll LOVE SendFox, so we want to make it easy for you to see how the most affordable and simple tool for content creators to grow their audience works... and then upgrade. Boom!
A: What's up, vic93! Hope you had a great, powerful weekend. 🥳
The Empire Add-On lets you create pure HTML in the <body> of your email. What this means is you have to have created the HTML template already. There are tons of websites out there that let you create an HTML template for free, and then you can copy-and-paste that HTML into SendFox's HTML editor. For example: https://beefree.io/. Or, if you don't want to build your own from scratch, you can always Google for pre-made HTML templates: https://stripo.email/templates/
Also remember: Purchasing SendFox on AppSumo gives you a 60-day, no-questions-asked refund. And purchasing the Empire Add-On directly from the SendFox website gives you a 14-day refund on the Empire Add-On specifically.
So there's no risk! You can try it out, and see if it works for you. If it does — and we expect you'll love it — great. You have the best email deal ever for life. And if it doesn't, no worries at all. You get all your money back.
A: Hey, flickjb! Yes on RTL languages. We have roughly 30 languages being used by customers on SendFox, and there are RTL customers right now.
With the $10 per month Empire Add-On for Sumo-lings, you get an HTML editor that lets you create customer HTML emails within the <body> of the email. Enjoy!
Q: Is there a way to move my follow up autoresponder campaigns from Aweber to sendfox?
Also, where I export and import my lists from Aweber, will the tags be imported as well?

Hope I have explained properly.

May 15, 2024A: Hey, Sumo-ling!

Q: Hi I have stacked 3 Eventsframe codes giving me 3 different seperate accounts of 5000 tickets for events.
I see that i can integrate sendfox
My question is do i need to use 3 different accounts ie 1 code per account for each eventsframe account or can i just use the 2 stack of sendfox.
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, Dion!
Yay!

Q: Hi, I need a plan for about 10.
000 contacts.
Can I buy a License Tier 1 and then add 1.000 contacts x 5 times at $10 each?
Also: can I import excel lists of contacts? (from my email address book)
Thanks

May 15, 2024A: Hey, Sumo-ling!

David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: What's up, Sumo-ling! Always good to clarify, appreciate the question. 🙌
Empire Add-On for all Sumo-lings is currently $10 per month flat fee, month-to-month cancel anytime. Whether you have 3,000 subscribers, or 25,000 subscribers, it's the same $10 price.

Appreciate the help.
Follow up question...
If I get the Sumo deal for 5,000 emails, then upgrade on your site using the $10 per 1,000 emails.
Am I still registered as the Sumo deal so Empire Addon is still $10/month?
Verified purchaser
Glad to answer #2, Sumo-ling. 😉
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, fedex! 🙌

Q: Hi looks very promising, So for 1 code is the max number of subscribers in TOTAL 5,000?
I've read in some older reviews that this cap includes people who unsubscribe? And these unsubscribes cannot be removed from the sub cap?
Does this mean people who are removed through Clean List (non-actives > 3 months) also permanently count to your 5,000 sub cap?
Thanks in advance!
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, SumoDanny!
Yes, the 5,000 is ALL contacts. In the future, we will no longer count unsubscribes — and for the time being, you can write into our support team and we can manually remove unsubscribed, inactives, and unconfirmed contacts to help you lower your subscriber count.

Q: Hello again!
Question: With sendfox, one code, can I import my subscribers from my current system, without them having to reconfirm their subscription? Thanks!
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: What's up again, juan_macar!

Q: Hi, Last month I bought 2 codes.

May 15, 2024A: Hey, Sumo-ling!
Enjoy using SendFox!

Q: I am moving a list from Aweber.
It's about 10,000 contacts. Do I have to upgrade to the Empire Add-On so that my existing contacts don't have to Double Opt-in? I see it's required in all the plans. Otherwise, I will lose more than half of my existing subscribers.
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: What's up, Sumo-ling!

Thank you for your fast reply. Much appreciated!
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, michael928 👋
Yup, our subscribers are called Contacts. In the screenshots above, and inside the app when you join, you'll see we actually label them "Contacts" internally.
You can buy whichever tier you want. Starting in the next couple days, you'll be able to also enhance or reduce (aka upgrade or downgrade) your tier after purchase for 60 days (aka during the typical refund period).
And if your list still grows even after your enhance eligibility ends on AppSumo, you're still able to buy more subscribers on our website for a flat fee of $10 per 1,000 additional subscribers.
Share SendFox
Is this $10,00 for 1,000 subscribers a one-time fee or a monthly fee? :-)
Verified purchaser
Thanks in advance...
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, Sumo-ling!
Yay!

Q: Hello, I'm interested in this deal.
But curious how upgrading will work- I plan on purchasing Lic 1 or 2 to test it out. if all goes well, how would I upgrade to Lic 3 before the deal ends? Thx.
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, Tyreek — can't wait for you to try SendFox.
Boom!

Q: Hi, Does the Sendfox or the Empire Add on contains - drag&drop html editor with blocks, columns - premade ...
templates
for making beautiful newsletters?
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: What's up, vic93!

Q: Does it support rtl languages and custom css?
David_SendFox
May 15, 2024A: Hey, flickjb! Yes on RTL languages. We have roughly 30 languages being used by customers on SendFox, and there are RTL customers right now.
With the $10 per month Empire Add-On for Sumo-lings, you get an HTML editor that lets you create customer HTML emails within the <body> of the email. Enjoy!
