Is there an option to purchase just the embedded request portal feature as an add-on?
I have already purchased a plan with more than adequate storage and all the other features I currently need, so I do not require additional space or more full code stacks at this time.
Q: Whay can a user not download to their documents or downloads folder?
I noticed that if i send a simple file link to a client they naturally try and qucikly download to their documents or downloads folder. They get blocked on each occasion with "Can't open this folder, sinosend.com can't open this folder because it contains system files". Is this a bug?

A: Hi there! Thanks for asking, this is actually by design and not a bug!
Sinosend uses advanced browser file APIs to let recipients download entire projects and folder structures without needing to compress them into a ZIP file first.
Because we write uncompressed files/folders directly to your device, modern web browsers (like Chrome and Edge) does not allow saving to your system folder (like...
This is a massive bug from my point of view. Customers cannot download to any of their familiar windows locations without first of all realizing they have to create a folder? The result is the sender, me gets the emails and calls "I cant download your file". Its a very obstructive workflow. With my WeTransfer account the file just downloads right away to the downloads folder. Done!
This is a mainstream browser, Google Chrome. There is a smaller download as a zip option, but most users dont choose this. They click the bigger button and then are forced into the scenario where they have to create a new folder to accept the download! A non-techy user who isnt all that comfortable with creating a new folder will also be the same user who cant zip and unzip archives
Video preview is not working. Plus, it says when I try to download, select a folder, and then it says, "Sinosentdcannot open it because it's a system folder."

I want to prioritize my customer's experience and hence the US WEST region sounds like a good option.
I am assuming that using the US WEST region from Asia might be slow for me to upload the files but would be blazingly fast for my US clients to download from.
I would give it a try on our website for free; but yes you're right. As an example, Im in HKG and I can upload to US WEST at about 10-12MB/second on wifi, and my clients there (on the west coast) can download in the range of 20-40MB/second. Ofcourse everything depends on distance and latency, network conditions.
However, in my account dashboard (Settings > Data > Storage Region), the Shanghai (China) region has a lock icon and is disabled.
Shanghai/China connection was the primary reason I purchased 3 codes. Why is it locked on a 3-Code plan when the feature page explicitly advertises CHINA as an available region?

I think you may have left a review as well.

I want to clarify how our region allocations work so we can get this resolved for you right away:
Hi Rishi, Thanks for offering to unlock Shanghai for my account. However, the main issue is the product logic/UX: If Tier 3 allows 4 active regions, users should be able to self-select and toggle any 4 regions in the dashboard, rather than having key regions locked by default and forcing us to contact support. Please consider letting users freely choose their 4 active regions directly in the UI.

Q: Query on Region Selection
Hi Rishi,
I am evaluating the 3 Codes plan for purchase.
I am based in South Asia and have to regularly send files (avg. size 150 MB, type: PNG/JPEG) to my clients in the US.
Which Region should I select for quick upload and download of the files?
Rishi_Sinosend
Aug 25, 2026A: Hi,
If your in Asia, Hong Kong for uploading would be perfect for your uploads, but slow(er) for your clients in the US.
I would then try using the US server for your uploads so they can collect the assets faster.
The goods news is that the 3 code plan comes with 4 regions (US WEST, HK, Dubai, Frankfurt).
You can test the HK region upload on our website https://sinosend.com without...

Q: China region locked despite being stacked 3 Codes and clearly listed in deal terms
I bought 3 Codes, and the AppSumo deal page explicitly states under Data Residency tooltip:
