Q: Hello Danielle 👋
BEfore purchasing it, I tested the free plan and I did not feet a strong connection with ...
the plattform as it is right now, but I lie what I read that soon you will launch a mayor UX/UI improvement, you got me interested.
I have one question: is it possible or will be possible to upload SVG versions of the logo, and then on the APP dowload them in the desired size and format?
A: Hello, and thank you. We are looking forward to being able to share more updates with you all as well!
Now while I don't think we can give a sneak peak of the new UI/UX updates, I can say that what you're mentioning in your second question has been one of the major considerations for this update, and is something that we do plan on developing (if not in this next update, then in a subsequent update afterwords).
We do thank you for your questions and patience in this process, we have received a lot of good feedback since launching on AppSumo and are glad to be able to update the platform to greater help peoples' workflows!
Looking forward to being able to share more soon :)
With the update that we have planned we do see adding this function as something that could be very possible and fit the new UI/UX quite well. It is a feature that we had in mind when moving towards the update we are aiming to release here within the next few weeks.
In the meantime, BrandBay allows you to upload your assets in virtually any file format, and you would upload them individually for each size you're needing :)
Thank you for your reply, being so active on replying to the comments here in AppSumo gives me a lot of confident in this product moving forward into the future.
1. Can you share a sneak-peak of what's coming on that new UI/UX?
2. Of course, we can upload any size we need, but once you use a product that gives the possibility to upload an SVG and be able to download it in any size and format you want, it is difficult to go back to upload every single size. It saves so much time and takes away so much guessing for the customer.
Q: Hello, I have already bought 1 code and would like to fully stack but 4 more questions:
1.
Cname, when active? 2. Multi upload (also drag and upload) when active? 3. Set per sub-account for amount of data usage, provided? if yes, when active? 4. Automatically download a backup, which includes everything from links, images and other content, etc. Suppose we already have 100 customers and you quit, then we have nothing. Is this possible and when is it active? Can you put a time limit on this? It has a lot of potential, but the above 4 points are very important. Greetings from Ribse
We do agree that a lot of what you're mentioning is important to address, and we do intend on doing so.
We do not currently have a date set for the features you have mentioned above, the reason being we are in the midst of developing some major UI/UX updates to the platform that we project should be completed within the next few weeks.
Once we have completed the UI/UX updates, we do intend on addressing many of the features you've mentioned here including CNAME, multi-upload, and user-facing data backups.
The others we do consider as possible additions (drag and drop upload, and setting sub-account data usage limits and do see the value of adding these features to the platform.
If you are able to add those to our roadmap, we would appreciate it so that others can also vote and see the feature suggestions as well :)
We have a whole area dedicated to fonts for reach brand where you can upload the font (or select from Google fonts) for EACH text type (H1-H6, Body, Subtitle, etc.) and you can make multiple of each of those too, font size, letter spacing, and more.
There should be no limit in storing and documenting all of the fonts used and needed for each situation you come across with your clients or your own projects. :)
You can learn more on our "Managing Assets" tutorial on YouTube: https://youtu.be/updS24wGOMM?t=117
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
The BrandBay browser extension functions virtually identically to the standard web application, where each space you are in will be custom branded to match the colors and brand of the company you're working with/within, with the added benefit of being able to access your assets from directly within your workflow without needing to even change tabs :)
@robgenius29 in terms of the extension, since the Chrome Webstore listing is not something you can whitelabel for a browser extension (you would have to see the BrandBay branding in that process to get the extension). So the extension is not whitelabelled, however the interface in the extension version changes for each brand just like how the app does. :)
For your client workflows, either sharing asset links or giving your client a login would be the two ways for them to interface with the assets and collections in BrandBay for the brand.
We do have CNAME as a coming soon feature for BrandBay for the Tier 3 and 4 plans. And it would work essentially to where you and your clients could login from your custom domain wit your agency's branding to view and manage their brand assets.
It is something we are actively working on developing (and is one of our priority launch features), and are looking forward to being able to share more updates about it :)
Also if you have other feature requests, or would like to learn more about what is planned for BrandBay's future development, check out our public roadmap and ideas board here:
https://www.brandbay.io/roadmap
We would be glad to hear your feedback, and voting on items helps us know what our users would like to see prioritized 👍
In the case that the 120 user seat limit is reached, and additional user seats or storage would be necessary, we have the options to add additional user seats for a small fee of $3 per user/month and additional storage for $2 per 100GB per month :)
In the case that additional storage or user seats would be necessary, we have the options to add additional storage for $2 per 100GB per month and additional user seats for $3 per user/month.
On Tier 3 and 4 the coming soon CNAME feature would be made available. :) The CNAME would only apply to the whole account. So only one domain per account.
The intended use is for a digital agency or freelancer to be able to provide their branded environment for their clients to log in to. HOWEVER when the client logs in they will see the whole app branded to their specific brand (the URL would essentially be that CNAMEed domain).
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Q: is there a possibility to connect external storage?
this seems like a good service giving exactly what we need BUT from reading the comments it seems its uploading one file at a time... and that is a major challenge. i would love to take the system and apply it to my onedrive.
In the files area you are able to link to files stored inside of Google Drive for quick access, and even edit certain linked files from directly within BrandBay :) We can consider expanding the linked files area to other cloud storage systems like OneDrive and others. If you would be able to add that to our roadmap/ideas board, it could help us keep feature suggestions, voting and comments in a concise location :)
https://www.brandbay.io/roadmap
We are actively looking at how to best implement a bulk uploading system to make working with large amounts of files faster and simpler.
For now I can say for now is that this is an active area of development for us, and that we do see this feature as something that could be a large benefit to users across many different niches and use cases.
Currently assets that you upload are the size that is available to access from inside the platform, and BrandBay does have very expansive limits for files sizes that you're able to upload (even for high-res photos and videos).
But we have considered adding a feature like this to the application. If you would like to see a feature like this added to the platform please feel free to add it to our roadmap/ideas board:
Q: Hi,
I will try to be pragmatic with my two question.
1. Instead of ALL user/client using the collaboration role a better way to add anther role called Creator as a best way to differentiate between USER ROLE as the CREATOR and CLIENT ROLE as the COLLABORATER for example:
Collaborator For clients or freelancers. They can collaborate in discussions, invite other people from their team. They can only see media they are invited to.
Collaborator Plus For clients or freelancers who need more control. In addition to the Collaborator role they can also create, open and edit media (media must have "Creators & Collaborators" privacy setting). They can only see media they are invited to.
Creator For members of your team. They can create & edit all media ,view all account level , invite & edit people, use templates, view & create time entries.
Creator Plus For members of your team who need more control. In addition to the Creator role they can create & manage create & edit templates, create & delete groups/team edit allocated time & delete time entries, delete media.
Creator Admin For account administrators. In addition to the Creator Plus role they can also view and edit all account settings.
2. Integrate WordPress sites with brandbay: Get full control over files from brandbay, control the privacy settings, and decide who can save or download the files, and do this natively within WordPress media library.
Our current system of user permissions is designed to allow for a broad range of use cases that gives controls over the basic functions of the application while providing flexibility and security to the people involved and their assets.
We do see how further defining the users into different categories could be beneficial for certain workflows, and what you've laid out here is essentially a full system that does make sense, and we would be glad to take this into consideration for development moving forward :)
In the meantime, if there was a particular workflow that you had in mind of something you'd like to be able to doin BrandBay, we would be glad to hear your thoughts on that, and that could also help us further refine what permissions we could consider adding or editing in the future.
Our roadmap/ideas board would be a good place for this, so that we can have a dedicated space for feedback that we receive on how to improve the platform :)
In regard to integrating with WordPress, we have discussed what could be possible with the platform by developing an API, and WordPress could be something that we consider if we do decide to add an API to BrandBay in a future update.
Right now, we could recommend using the BrandBay browser extension while you're working in WordPress for immediate access to your assets without even having to switch tabs!
Thank you again for your feedback.
Here is the link to our roadmap for additions and reference https://www.brandbay.io/roadmap
This is something that we have discussed, and do plan on potentially implementing here in the near future.
Here within the next few weeks we are planning on making some fundamental updates to the platform that can put us in position to bring in some new features like bulk uploading and downloading , and the way assets are formatted, and a few others we are looking forward to bringing to the platform :)
Let us know if you have any additional suggestions, and we would be glad to hear your thoughts if you'd like to leave an idea or vote on our roadmap/ideas board:
Q: Hello,
I have come across this recently and this can potentially be a useful product for handling my ...
client's brands, and I believe it's an excellent concept. However, I intend to begin with the basic package before upgrading to the full agency version.
I am curious about the product's future plans, given that it appears to have been recently launched. Although it may be challenging to predict, I'm interested in learning about the product's potential before fully committing to it and presenting it to my clients.
We have a lot of exciting updates planned for BrandBay which you can view on our roadmap/ideas board :)
A lot of what we are planning to do has come directly from user-feedback, so if you have any suggestions please feel free to add them there as well. We would be glad to hear from you.
Thank you, Danielle; looking forward to giving this a go!
Q: Hello Brandbay team,
I understand that clients can upload assets when we use one of the login user access.
My question, can we grant access to our clients to upload their assets without needing to use our user access counts? I am planning to get tear 4 so that would mean I would be at 119 for just a client that just need to upload one item.
Second, is the share function has a feature where you could only share and not need to create a user login?
The way our team sharing and permissions works is designed is to provide robust security and accessibility to all of your assets that you store inside of BrandBay. With that, we do secure your account so that no one can access it without you directly inviting them to one of your brands.
In addition to that, BrandBay's custom-branded share pages do allow you to share your assets outside of the platform to virtually anyone online, along with other sharing options and custom permissions such as allowing embedding of your assets, allowing them to be downloadable, or shared on social media.
So in the case of sharing assets, whoever you're sharing with would not have to be logged in to receive a share link or view the content you send them, which is great for client reviews, internal collaboration, or even things like embedding your assets onto your website. We also do plan on expanding this feature here in the near future beyond individual assets to allow sharing for entire collections as well as exportable brand kits, which are both currently features on our roadmap: https://www.brandbay.io/roadmap.
Exciting possibilities with generous options already!
My question is if I purchase T4, could I act as an agency and purchase additional users / permissions for additional accounts as users could exceed 500+? Any other helpful info or thoughts to consider before taking this approach? is there an additional fee schedule for LTD buyers? Thank you for an already solid product.
In the case that additional user seats or storage would be necessary, we have the options to add additional user seats for $3 per user/month and additional storage for $2 per 100GB per month.
But we could also mention that if you're working as an agency, to simplify the process of onboarding clients into BrandBay, it could be possible to simply give brand-wide logins for your clients, so that each client would only have to create one login for their entire team.
Of course, there are many workflows, and some clients (or you yourself) may simply prefer to assign every person their own login in which case you could utilize the additional pricing options. Either way, BrandBay could facilitate your workflow.
Also if you are enjoying the platform, please feel free to leave us a review as well! It helps us and others understand how people are using the platform and get more value from the platform for their businesses :)
A: We have worked quite in depth with AppSumo to provide deal terms that are very substantial for even large-scale marketing agency workflows, but in the case that additional user seats or storage would be necessary, we have the options to add additional user seats for $3 per user/month and additional storage for $2 per 100GB per month :)
We are actively looking at how to best implement a bulk uploading system to make working with large amounts of files faster and simpler.
For now I can say for now is that this is an active area of development for us, and that we do see this feature as something that could be a large benefit to users across many different niches and use cases.
Ok. This sounds good. At the moment in order to transfer the files, I used BrandBay with my WeTransfer account. So the ideal situation is to transition away from Wetransfer but I need a viable solution for internal Team collaboration.
Q: Hi thank you for creating a very useful app that keeps my agency organized.
It's nice to go to one central location for everything such as colors, fonts, pictures etc.
What I would like to see next is the ability to create a template from a collection and be able to export it onto another brand. Then all we have to do is apply the template and we would have everything set and ready to go. All we would need to do is down the images, modify it, and upload it back to Brandbay.
This would especially be useful for embed codes that are the same each and every website. And CSS codes as well.
A: Hello and thank you for this suggestion. Templatizing collections sounds like it could be very helpful to optimizing a lot of workflows inside of BrandBay. We would like to look into this further.
If you could please add this to our roadmap/ideas board that will help us document this (and any other ideas you would like to suggest) for future development :)

Q: So I can only share this with 120 users?
What if I have more users than that?

May 15, 2024A: We have worked quite in depth with AppSumo to provide deal terms that are very substantial for even large-scale marketing agency workflows, but in the case that additional user seats or storage would be necessary, we have the options to add additional user seats for $3 per user/month and additional storage for $2 per 100GB per month :)

Q: Hi, I'm just getting onboarded.
Will you add an option for bulk uploads?
Danielle_BrandBay
May 14, 2024A: Hello!

This would be extremely useful for

May 15, 2024A: Hello and thank you for this suggestion. Templatizing collections sounds like it could be very helpful to optimizing a lot of workflows inside of BrandBay. We would like to look into this further.
If you could please add this to our roadmap/ideas board that will help us document this (and any other ideas you would like to suggest) for future development :)
