Hi! I am primarily looking for a way to manage my digital assets. I have a LOT of images and videos that I’d like to centralize, tag, etc, to make it easy to get my hands on what I’m looking for. How robust is this part of your platform? Is this something you’ll be adding more features to as time goes on? I’m specifically wondering how easy it is to tag and sort assets for easy retrieval. Is there an AI aspect (where it can search the images for something like “dog” and find all of the images that have a dog in it)? Thank you!
A: Hello @ErinWright! BrandBay's unified search allows you to search your assets across an entire brand and all of the collections for that brand for quick access to your assets. Assets can be tagged as well to help with organization. :) In terms of AI features in the future, I could see automated asset tagging as a really helpful feature to save time! There are a few privacy concerns with certain image recognition agents to consider, especially with those who have clients and brands handling sensitive data that they would not like to get scrapped (as well as platform cost concerns), but as these technologies continue to develop I could see that being a possibility in BrandBay's future! For any other specific questions feel free to reach out to us directly as support@brandbay.io
I see a feature request from 2 years ago with ~40 votes on your roadmap about this - is there any way to export an entire brand guideline minisite created with brandbay as a PDF? In case we want to distribute a PDF version of our brand guidelines externally? Is this feature still "planned" after 2 yrs on the roadmap?
A: Hello, and thank you for the question! To my knowledge, this was a feature that was largely requested during our version 1 launch, and since then we have added a lot of features that have helped most of the use cases for an actual PDF export.
You can right now actually share any brand or collection externally using share pages (which can even be on your own domain).
The share pages feature has fulfilled a lot of what some of our V1 users were asking for at the time, so it may have become less of a priority after those large updates to the platform. As of now, this may be something we do in the future but we have not had many people reaching out to us asking about this feature since the share pages features were released.
A: Hello and thank you for the suggestion! We can certainly consider adding this as a possible feature to add into the platform :)
If you would be able to add this to our roadmap/ideas board that can help it be more publicly visible so we can see if this is a feature a lot of users may benefit from!
We were previously on BrandFolder and it wasn’t a good value proposition and got increasingly more expensive and didn’t deliver on promises. We moved to another DAM which is good but seems to have similar features to BrandBay.
I’d love to move all of our assets to BrandBay but tags seem a little lacking. The only way we can move thousands of assets is if we import the tags via CSV import where a column in the CSV is tied to the image name. This worked great going from BrandFolder to the new DAM.
2nd question: the metadata is in separate columns that map to custom fields in DAM #2 like “Product Collection”, “Product Name”, “Product Color”, etc. These could all be mapped to a single TAGS field you have but it’s not as elegant, so wondering if you have the concept of custom field TAGS.
ability to import a CSV is a non-negotiable though..
We currently do not have the ability to import asset tags via CSV or XLS, however we would like to address and update the way our tagging system works in a future update. So with what you have mentioned here regarding custom field tags, we would be glad to consider as a possible improvement for the future! If you would like to see this feature in BrandBay we would greatly appreciate you adding this as an idea to our roadmap/ideas board: https://www.brandbay.io/roadmap

Q: More storage later
Hello, can AppSumo users increase storage capacity for their current deals later? Thanks!
Danielle_BrandBay
Mar 27, 2025A: Hello, and thank you for your question!
Right now as an existing AppSumo user, you are able to upgrade to any tier while the AppSumo offer still remains!
And our current rate of additional storage after this is a monthly charge of $2/mo for an additional 200GB :)

Q: Single Sign On Support
It would be great if we could enable Single Sign On with Azure AD (now Entra ID). Will this be possible?
