I thought I liked it until...

Apparently Lindo Ai is changing the meaning of their promised
"Plans & features
Deal terms & conditions
Lifetime access to Lindo Ai
All future Pro Plan updates
If Plan name changes, deal will be mapped to the new Plan name with all accompanying updates"
I have Tier 2 and I just attempted to create a website only to discover that if I want to actually use it, I'll have to now pay monthly. Really? Isn't the lifetime deal with the terms & conditions quoted above the exact reason why I purchased this product?
I needed this website NOW so I now have to use another site builder to get the job done. Simply because Lindo Ai is reneging on their lifetime deal promise. Bad business, Lindo. Truly bad.

this feels like a bait-and-switch and potentially fraudulent behavior

I purchased 5 stacks of the Lindo.ai lifetime deal through AppSumo for almost $499 USD, expecting lifetime access, lifetime updates, and the license benefits advertised at the time of purchase.

Unfortunately, Lindo.ai now appears to be separating AppSumo LTD customers into what they call “Lindo Legacy,” which they describe as the older template-based builder, while the current and future direction of the platform — including the new agentic AI website builder, advanced AI features, future agents, and key innovation — is being placed behind a new paid/credit-based structure.

To me, this feels like a bait-and-switch. We did not purchase a “Legacy” product. We purchased a Lindo.ai lifetime deal through AppSumo. Keeping the old version online while moving the main product and future innovation to a separate paid plan does not feel like honoring the original lifetime deal in good faith.

This is especially concerning for customers like us who purchased one of the highest AppSumo tiers. If a company sells a lifetime deal with future updates and then later redefines the original product as “Legacy” while charging again for the new version, AppSumo should seriously investigate this.

In my opinion, AppSumo and affected customers should consider taking action against Lindo.ai if the original LTD terms are not honored. This situation feels misleading and potentially fraudulent, and it damages trust in both the vendor and the marketplace.

I strongly recommend that AppSumo review this case carefully and require Lindo.ai to honor the original lifetime deal terms, especially for customers who purchased 5 stacks.

Shady Business Practice!

This company has shady business practices. I purchased Tier5 a year or so ago, and created a small number of websites. Although it did not performed as I expected, I decided to keep it. I was able to published the websites to a custom domain, using both CNAME 'WWW' and A Record for '@'. Some time later, I created another website and attempted to published using both CNAME and A Record. I was informed that I could only publish using CNAME and if I wanted to do both A Record, I would need to upgrade to the PAID Elite Plan. Very deceitful.
Fast Forward to a few weeks ago. After not using the platform for quite a while, I decided to use it to create a website. After logging in, I was automatically taken to a New Interface. I was in a hurry and did not want to learn the New Interface, so I clicked on the button to Switch me back to the Legacy Interface. I used the Legacy Interface, created and published the website, without any issues. Two weeks later, I decided to use the Lindo.AI platform again. After logging in, it Again, automatically takes me to the New Interface. I decided to use the New Interface. I created two websites, but when I attempted to publish/activate the websites, it, prompted me to Upgrade to a Paid Elite Plan, in order to Activate the websites. I was totally confused, since I had Tier 5 plan, which allows for 150 websites, and I had only published 10-12 at this point. I sent an email to Support, but No Response. After 4 days later, I sent another follow-up to Support, and still No Response. During this time, I am being bombarded with their marketing and promotional emails about their new products. So I responded to one of their Marketing emails, and requested support for my support ticket. After a couple of back and forth email exchanges, I was eventually told that because I used the New Interface to create the new websites, I had to Upgrade to the Elite Paid Plan, if I want to publish them. Or my option is to Delete the two websites that I created with the New Interface, and then go back and re-create them under the Legacy Interface. The Shady business practice is that when you log on, they automatically take you into the New Interface, not realizing that this is a Paid Upgrade, and then you need to be aware that you are Required to Click the button, to go back to the Legacy Interface. Proper business practice is to take you into the Legacy Interface, one that you have already Paid to use, and then Make it a REQUIRED Click Action, to take you to a New Paid Interface!!! This is Very Shady Business Practice and it is close to being called Fraud!!!

Lindo Ai is TERRIBLE.

I've been a customer with these guys since launch. Quickly realized that the website was half baked on its best day but the majority of the time it just never really worked. The user interface actually looks awesome. It looks modernized, it's everything that you want. The problem is, it just doesn't function. It's buggy, unstable and super unreliable. Constant disconnecting from the server. It's everything that you would expect from an website Internet company ran off of a dial up Internet connection in the back of an abandoned Denny's restaurant.

NO UPDATES, NO NEW TEMPLATES, ROADMAP SHOWS 7 PLANNED AND 1 IN PROGRESS OVER 228 FEATURE REQUESTS INCLUDING 150 NEW TEMPLATE REQUESTS

Unfortunately, this company only wants to take your money, and they are not providing the service they promoted in return. They still have the same 10 templates, one start from scratch and a "request new template" options since they started selling here in Appsumo.
I would suggest staying away from them and other companies like them as well, sadly, seems like Appsumo must be extra careful these days with the new deals they are bringing to our sumo-ling community.
