That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for for a very long time—to save the day from the cutomer service hassle of replying to chats, especially when there are a lot of chats. I hope they understand the pipeline features and can solve the few trivial bugs I emailed them about!

A must for Shopify websites

We have been using Zipchat ai for a few months now on our Shopify website and have been very pleased with it. It learns very well and is easy to train. It directs customers to make purchases. Overall, it has saved hundreds of hours by answering customer questions that normally would have been spent by our support staff answering emails. One of the best in its category despite being so young.

So I don't know why since there is a lot of competition in the chatbot market, but this one got my attention. I think it had the better overall brand design and value proposition (helping you sell more on automatic) What sold me after this first impression was the fact that it had an apple-like approach. Like, set it and forget it. In just a few seconds (yeah, not minutes, but seconds) it was ready to go: it trained all my webpages and from there it build up a custom training. I then tested it and not only the agent chatbot was asking all the right questions, but it was also suggest the user a product to buy at EACH single interaction. It was listening to the user and meanwhile trying to sell things.
Perfect execution! So in less than 1 hour I got the deal.
It is still in early stages though with a lot of room for improvement, but honestly even if you put Claude code inside one of this chatbot, generally speaking they still look dumb, this one was almost ready to go in just seconds.

What I think is missing is at this point:
Not every user of our platform/shops love a.i. integration, in some niches is even the opposite, they hate it. Therefore there should be ways to make it seems less "artificial" .
To solve it, these would help:
-Random delay options between answers
- Showing the a.i. composing the message in real time shows it's a.i. instantly, therefore eroding trust in some users. Breaking the response in sub responses that do not compose live but appear like a human making a sentence and shooting them in more than a single message (splitting it in half or 3 parts, with the same credit consumption of course) may help.
-An option to let the support team send the chatbot message, instead of auto-sending (draft-only mode)

A part from these issue related to the user perception of the a.i. integration, the other things are just minor issues, like the fact the there are some css issues here and there.

There is a lot of room for improvement, for a more deeply integrated a.i. inside platforms so I'm excited to see what will come next! They've just released zip code that lets you connect the chatbot to the repository of your website, and it's amazing!

Great AI chatbot for online stores, but needs more human control for service businesses

The setup is very, very simple, and the AI delivers surprisingly high-quality and relevant responses. I’ve tested several other customer chatbots, and ZipChat is head and shoulders above everything I’ve tried. The ability to add your own custom instructions is excellent.
For an online store with products, I give it a solid 5 stars for usefulness. The AI understands context well, helps with sales and support, and saves a lot of time. The quality of the answers really impressed me.

However, I also run a service-based business where sales happen through WhatsApp (also Instagram, FB and Telegram). Unfortunately, ZipChat isn’t quite suitable for this use case yet, even though I would love to use it fully.

The main missing feature:
1. There is no option to manually edit the AI’s suggested reply before sending.
2. There is no “suggest mode” where the AI prepares the answer, but the message is only sent after my approval or editing.

The ideal workflow for me would look like this: I receive a notification in a convenient interface with the AI’s ready-made reply. Then I have options:
“Send as is” / “Edit and send” / “Take over the chat completely”.

Currently, escalation to a human only works via email notifications, which is too slow for real-time intervention in an active conversation. If I’m not actively in the ZipChat web interface, it’s easy to miss important messages.

Suggestions for improvement:
- Quick notifications and the ability to take control (for me the best option would be through Telegram) it would make a huge difference.

If the ZipChat team adds a proper human-in-the-loop mode with an easy dashboard for approving or editing AI replies (Telegram is OK for this), the product would become truly universal — perfect for both e-commerce and service businesses.

For now, I recommend ZipChat to everyone whose main traffic comes through an online store. For messenger-based sales, the potential is huge, but it still lacks sufficient human control.
