Q: Questions regarding contact storage limits and the data retention add-on for the LT deal
Hi George,
Before buying the highest tier, I have two quick questions:
1. Contacts vs. Unlimited Audiences: The plan features "Unlimited audiences." Does this mean I can upload and store an unlimited number of total contacts/subscribers in my account database, or is there a specific cap on total contacts? I have an initial list of 200,000 contacts can I host all of them here?
2. Data Retention...

A: Hi there,
1/ There are rate limits based on your sending history. So, as you could theoretically have 200k contacts, you would have to slowly get there. As we enforce GDPR and CAN-SPAM, you have to have a valid consent for marketing purposes. This is usually not the case for people with such a large audiences, so we might be not a right fit.
2/ This related only for email sending, contents,...
I’m considering using Emailit for a SaaS project with transactional emails and campaigns.
I noticed the “data retention” add-on in the pricing, but I couldn’t find details about what it exactly includes.
Could you clarify:
- how long email logs/events are stored by default - what changes when purchasing the data retention add-on - which data is retained (delivery logs, opens, clicks, webhooks, etc.) - and for how long the data is stored with the add-on
Thanks a lot!

A: Hi there,
1/ usually around 1-7 days, based on system needs (no fixed timestamp)
2/ you can select between 1-365 days to retain data
I’m a paying AppSumo customer using Emailit for transactional and ministry emails and have invested time and money into setting up our sending infrastructure with you. However, I’m very frustrated with how hard it has been to increase our sending limits. I’ve requested an increase several times and been denied each time, even after fixing earlier bounce issues and keeping our list opt‑in and...

A: Hi there,
Increasing limits is based on your sending history.
We deny those very rarely, mostly in two cases:
1/ low volume ( under <40% ) of your current rate limits.
2/ bounce rate too high
I do not know your request details, but we always reply and tell you specific reasons for why it got denied and what you need to do.
Hi George, thanks for replying. We have 6,000+ subscribers and need to send newsletters plus transactional emails. We fixed earlier bounces and SendGrid approved our list, but our limit still wasn’t increased. Low volume is cited as the reason, yet the low limit itself stops us from using Emailit more. Can you review our account and clarify a realistic path to 10,000/day?
As mentioned, I do not see the request here or the details, you can request the increase from the dashboard, or if you already did and got a reply, reply to that email.
We always work with you to get you to the limits you need.
Hello, There's been notifications coming from members that some agencies that are getting flagged that the email is coming from the Czech Republic. Is there something that can be done to avoid this? My client is getting a bit skeptical about the sourcing, and we need to see if there's any fixes to this. Please advise. Thanks

A: Hi there,
Some webhosting email providers might block email based on geolocation.
If you find any of those, you can usually see that in the delivery logs and all you need to usually do is to email their provider to unblock.
Or email [email protected] with the recipients list that are being blocked and we can reach out to them.
Some members are using their government emails and not personal one's such as Gmail or outlook which is prompting these blocked emails. Unless you have IP pools out of the U.S. we will continue to have these issues. No fix for that since your servers are entirely in EU

Hundreds of our customers are also sending emails to government emails, without any issues.
Any email inbox provider can (and in most cases does), unblock Geolocation for our servers if asked when blocked.
We currently see no delivery issues related to geo blocking. And those who did in the past, unblocked it almost instantly.
